JAN 2, 2014 (SpillingTheBeans)–Coffee production in Peru is expected to fall 18 percent to 3.373 million 60-kilogram bags in 2014 from 4.217 million bags in 2013 because of the ongoing attack of the rust fungus disease, Peru’s National Coffee Council said.
Peru normally reports calendar-based figures and the harvest in 2014 corresponds to the 2014-15 harvest in international coffee statistics.
